“Obviously.” Came the dry reply, punctuating the ‘obvious’ as he rolled his eyes, unseen from behind the mask as he continued his actions, closing his eyes fro a brief moment, reaching into the mind of one of his hostages that WEREN’T crying or peeing themselves to see that all way going to plan before giving a small smirk. “You know, I’d assume that we’d be close enough by now for you to know that that question is rather pointless.” Cerebrum purred before pressing one last button, grinning to himself when the beam set off. “Also- Don’t show off.” He added, making his voice louder to be heard above the sound of the machine. “It’s unattractive.”

Cailean seated himself on top of the machine, pretending that he was actually paying attention to what Cerebrum was doing. He knew that if it came down to it he could force Cerebrum to remember it. Besides, the Telepath was most likely inside his head at the moment, and if he started paying attention the older of the two would take it as fear and decide that he has won.

“Let them go, and I’ll stop with the showing off. Then you can explain what you are doing before I destroy this… interesting.. contraption.”

“I’m always in your head, boy, I know better than to leave things to chance.” He muttered, catching a bit of the train of thought before it switched to the next topic.  “And, while I’d usually comply immediately…” The shorter of the two pulled back from the machine to look up at the ‘Hero’ with a small smile. “I’m afraid this little experiment is highly dangerous and intricate, so I require all the eyes and brains I can have.” He said simply, reaching his own mind to shift through the others’, pursing his lips then smiling. “Also, I wouldn’t recommend touching it too much while you’re destroying it- Frostbite is a terrible thing, and punching things with four or three fingers won’t be nearly as gratifying.”
